Scull Cave

photogaphy, art & text ©Jacob Garn

My fambly, my friend, and I went on a crazy hike at Canyon Lake the other day. We climbed a mountain looking for a cave called Scull Cave. We never found it. Probably because we got lost and it was getting dark. We made a fire and almost had to spend the night on the mountain. So after about 5 hours of stumbling in the dark over lots of cactuses, we found our way back to the boat. Above are some pics I took from the trip.

This is a tilt-shift effect I learned with Photoshop. It's supposed to make it look like a little model.

Summer Day

Summer Day by Coconut Records

Here is a little video I put together. I've never done a video like this before so I just wanted to see how it would turn out. The Sun drawing was just a random thought and when I was done I came across "Summer Day" by Coconut Records I knew it was the perfect song. Although it's kinda depressing if you pay close attention to the lyrics. I'm pretty sure it's the feeling that counts.

This is going to be a great show. A king size show! If you haven't heard these guys you should check them out. They are amazing. I also posted this flyer because it's they're first one and we were all pretty stoked when we finished it. So all those in favor of getting they're faces melted off, come hang! It's going to be a blast! oh, and I just heard that Alice Cooper might be there. Not joking.

Bulldog Canyon Hike

Today my friend Taylor Brimhall, his dog Cooper and I went on an awesome adventure through the wild west. I don't know what the hike was called. I think it might have just been an old dirt road with no name. The area we hiked through is called Bulldog canyon. I think it was around 6 miles not including the times we got lost. We would have hiked further but it was starting to get dark. It was really awesome. Finally I'd like to say that Cooper was very brave when we had to pull a cactus out of his paw. and it reminded me of this. "Now when you pick a pawpaw or a prickly pear and you prick a raw paw... Well, next time beware. Don't pick the prickly pear by the paw. When you pick a pear try to use the claw. But you don't need to use the claw when you pick a pear of the big pawpaw. Have I given you a clue?" -The Jungle Book
